Skrambler Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Yep, she is a real head turner! I was looking at her during a slight rain, but the owners were not around. It is an interesting P-9. I was kinda expecting it to be a P-10 model, but either way it was a joy to see, and a double take at first glance! Quote
Roadkingcoupe Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 1941 was the last year for the Panel Delivery from Plymouth. 1940 was similar body style and the 1939 Plymouth Panel Delivery was based on the previous model cars with the shorter wheelbase. Unlike the later Dodges the Plymouth Panels were based on the car chassis. Panel Deliveries have two rear doors and Sedan Deliveries have only one opening rear door. Most were based on the lower priced models as the vehicle was purchased for commercial use and driven by employees for small business. So a P7, P9 and P11 are more common. In most cases the Panel deliveries were void of radio, passenger seat, double tail lights and occasionally were equiped with only one windshield wiper! Below are some pictures of a 1941 Plymouth Panel truck that was restored as an upper model P12 optioned vehicle. Quote

Rich HArtung Desoto1939@aol.com Rich, I am sick that I did not get to see you at the show, If you were one row over I know I must have seen your spot. I can't let this happen again. I wrote your spot down and everything however I did not bring my note pad. I was running around that morning so bad I am lucky to have brought my wallet:) Quote
Merle Coggins Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 I was parked next to a 41(?) at the WPC meet in '08. It was supposedly an unrestored original. Pretty nice. Merle Quote
