Oldguy48
We just returned home today from the Plymouth’s first road trip. 503 miles round trip to Ocean City, MD for the “Endless Summer Cruise”. The car performed flawlessly, and we had a great time. That first long trip can be nerve-wracking. You hope you’ve got enough tools, spare parts, extra fluids, etc. “just in case”, but as the miles roll by, that feeling slowly fades. Eventually, your confidence in the car builds, and you begin to enjoy the drive instead of constantly watching the gauges, listening for strange noises, and thinking about what might go wrong. And aside from a few idiot drivers displaying their extreme stupidity, it was a good trip. And even though the car is more than capable of interstate highway speeds with the V8, I much preferred the highways with the 55 MPH speed limit, for a more relaxed drive. The older I get, the less I get the urge to put the pedal to the metal. As a bonus, its been many, many years since I’ve gotten a speeding ticket. Chester Brzostowski
I saw a number of old cars while driving my 48 back to Delaware. I figured there was something going on in ocean city. Wish I knew there were some forum members in OC I would have gone down. It's less than an hour and a half drive from Milford. Well anyway congratulations on your trip. I hope you didn't get stuck in that rt50 traffic. You probably took 1 north to get back. Chet...
Oldguy48
Chet, You are correct in the route. The traffic was heavy in a few spots, but overall not too bad. Although I was glad to get back home and relax a bit with a cold Yuengling Lager. Wayne
