Flatie46 Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 I don't have any pics but back in the 80's a local guy cut a few cars and shortened them. I remember one he did and drove it often was a '68 impala 4dr. It had such a short roof and you know how small the back doors were on those. Then it had the really long hood and decklid, well they seemed really long on it after the chop. I wish I had a picture. He did do a station wagon, I remember it didn't look too bad but I can't recall what it was. I will say the work on the impala was really good. Myself, I don't know if I'd cut a Plymouth like posted above or not. I like them pretty well in a 4dr. Alot of cars they seem to loose style when they go to the 4dr, I don't feel that way with the Plym's. Though I'd rather see one cut up and modified or turned into a rat rod than rotting down and crushed. At least, it is being enjoyed and not thrown away. I couldn't see cutting a nice solid 4dr in half, but if it was rotted down and to the point it was just about wasn't worth fixing. Why not have fun with it? Quote
claybill Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 great comment...WHY NOT HAVE FUN WITH IT. A life vs a car. i'll take the life! bill Quote
40P10touring sedan Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 After seeing the yellow coupe, suddenly the blue 2 dr sedan doesn't look so bad now....though I've never been fond of the whole take a 4dr and shorten the whole car to a 2 dr thing...but that's me. Quote
