218 rod torque spec

Hey guys,

do any of you have a service manual handy that shows

what to torque the rod bearing nuts to?

I didnt think that 108 foot pounds was right, I got that off of

an old friend of mine. thats alot of stress on a 1/2 inch nut..

surprized it ran as good as it did...

The ones from the 1946-54 service manual (last column in my table) are probably the ones you are most interested in.

I have a '47 Dodge WC (218). Do you think the specs would be the same as those listed for Plymouths passenger cars?

Don't see why not. Basically the same engine putting out about the same amount of power.
