I have a line on a solid 50 Business Coupe. I won't get to see it in person until late Sept. So, I'm curious about some things.

How big is this car? Is it bigger than a Plymouth? I have a 41 Plymouth Business Coupe. Is it significantly longer?

Does anyone have any pictures of their 50 Coupe?

I'm a hot rodder, as you know. I tend to be bent more to the restorod side of things but I appreciate customs, too. I am not geared for flathead power, so that is not an option for me. So, given that, what suggestions do you have for a build?

coming from a diehard mopar guy, i think its a crime that everyone puts 350's in these cars, if your going to repower, put a mopar motor in it, a 360 is a much better motor than any chevy junk, as is a 318, 318 mopar motor is the most reliable longest lasting motor on the planet, with the least maintenance, only surpassed by the slant six, just because chevy motors are cheaper and so are the parts doesn't make them better, in fact the motors and parts are so cheap because you have to fix them all the time, anyway get yourself a nice mopar smallblock, and an engine/trans swap kit from butch at butch's cool stuff, and be happy, then put some torq thrusts with some big and littles and a nice rake so it sits right, and that burnt orange color on the new challengers is a very cool color(hint hint)

A lot of love for what---the Hemi??

They are cool and powerful, but I gather they may be expensive to

work on.

I had a '67 Plymouth company car with a 318, which was a

good engine and withstood a certain amount of abuse from the

operator. They are fairly tough.

Love for the 50 business coupe. Not the Hemi. I know better than that.

any old mopar is cool, i'd jump on it in a heartbeat, its good to be different, why have the same 40 ford, or new mustang as everyone else at the cruise in, guaranty you'll get alot more looks, and people asking about it because it doesn't look like everyone elses car, i say go for it, i wish i had the money right now because i'd steel it from you, just kidding, i've got my hands full enough right now trying to get my 51 done by sept 1st for our fall cruise in, sick and tired of taking my vette to all the shows, when i'm a diehard mopar guy, i wouldn't even own it if the kid paid me the money he owed me instead of giving me the vette

'50 Business Coupe would be way cool with 318 and OD trans. You could probably buy a donor car with that engine and trans,...maybe even the rearend real cheap.

Yeah, a Hemi would be even cooler but a bigger and more expensive project.

I know the H&M was a Plymouth, but the Dodge doesn't look that much different its just a little longer.
