pflaming Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 I'm nearing the end. I now need to hook up the generator to the system through the regulator. It's all wired, I have just been bi-passing that field. Question: How do I test it out? I will take the generator in and have it tested, then . . . is there a way to pretest without the generator spinning? Quote
52b3b Joe Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 The shop you take the generator to should be able to set and adjust the regulator. When I took my generator to my local guy, he told me to bring my ragulator in. He charged $100 for a full rebuild and adjusted the regulator for free. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 You must be staying 6volt right? Ya take your regulator in for testing, no point frying anything or not having enough power Quote
pflaming Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 So BOTH generator and regulator can / should be tested. Thank you! Quote
