The water trickles through a screen and air blows through it and into the car. They work great in a no humidity area but not very useful if humidity is in the air. We used something similar in the Mojave desert and it really worked well in the dry air. Those were called swamp coolers. Quote

Robert Smith Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Actually, I believe that was the only the '47- '48 Fleatmasters that had the heavy trim treatment with the rear skits. The '42 Plymouth's had just a little extra trim than the post war models. I think some of you guys are thinking '42 Chrysler! http://www.flickr.com/photos/49024304@N00/298075222/ As for the ePay car, it has those phony Appleton spotlights and a real spot light, along with all the typical Chevy accents. I think someone really wanted a '47-'48 Chevy. But, I must admit that I like the stainless trim on that, it really delivers well with the black paint. Quote
