Looks like a 1941 DeSoto 2 Door Sedan

Rear bumper reads "DeSoto" so it appears to be a Non Fluid Drive (one of the last years of the manual transmission).

All 41's said DeSoto on the rear bumper, and 41' was the first year for the optional fluid drive and for the semi auto. This one appears to be a DeLuxe trimed model and pretty barebones with no radio, it doesn't have a full horn ring, and if I'm not mistaken, it doesn't seem to have a heater unless the hoses aren't ran in the stock location. I cant see any heater hoses in the picture. I'd agree with the non-fluid drive based off the options on the car. It does have running boards though, which I think was an option in 41.

Runningboards were standard with an optional delete.

Instead of runningboards there was a stainless steel moulding that ran along the rocker where the runningboards would have been. I believe there was also a rubber rear fender guard to protect the leading edge of the rear fender from stone chips.

The running boards were a delete option in 1940 for my Plymouth

I knew that at one time, but forgot it (like many things). Thanks for reminding me about that!
