Brought my truck from the farm in western Illinois to my house in northeastern Illinois. Now I will certainly be in divorce court by fall.

Check out the rig. Big Dodge pulling a big Dodge. I wonder which one weighs more. The Dodge 2500 weighs 7000 lbs. I still have not weighed the B1F. someone on the forum estimated it at around 6800 lbs.

And that 2500 isn't red by accident!

I was told it is best to tow vehicles in neutral to avoid shock loads on the transmission gear teeth. Makes sense. Ever heard that?

Spent Sunday fixing and detailing. Second picture is in my driveway. Fixing the leak in the hoist hydraulic pump input shaft just got a higher priority!

I drove it around town and got a bunch of thumbs up. I need to call the mayors office and see if I can get it in the July 4th parade.

my b-1-fa weighs more than 6800 lbs. but it has an added dump assembly/frame to the truck's chassis, which also has the extra side sills that i believe were a factory option. i think the truck weighs in at close to 10,000 lbs. i'd bet with your flatbed, even without a dump mechanism setup, weighs more than 7500 lbs.

beauty, in any case.

Awesome Brad. Did that guy come out of the bar and want to make a trade again? ;)

That looks like the same spot where my truck sat one day, although yours takes up a little more space. :D

Now that you got it home I may have to come back down there so we can go cruisin'. Maybe I can swing through Twin Lakes on my way down and get Tim (beyert99) to tag along so we can treat Fox Lake with a trio of Pilot-House trucks.

The only difference is my truck leaked hydraulic oil on the driveway, your truck did not.

I like that idea of having a mini rally in Fox Lake! Let's plan something. Naturally, followed by a barley pop or two and large chunk of grilled beef.

More to follow on this scheme........

Dan - the engine is a 236 cid flat head 6, 89-1/2 hp @ 3200 rpm.

Gary - I did take some pictures of the interior but there did not turn out well. I will take some more this weekend and post.

Check out my new custom exhaust! Much better sound than the old glass pack that somebody clamped on it. I had it all replaced from the exhaust manifold back.

Now I want to build some short racks for the flat bed. I am thinking a couple 2 x 6s with about a 2 inch gap between them, like this.

What do ya'll think?

Hey Brad, is your truck still at home, and did you get the hydraulic leak fixed? Tim Beyer and I were just talking about that today. I was down in Twin Lakes helping him tinker with his truck, working out a few bugs. It should be road worthy soon.
