B1 electric wiper blade length?

What length wiper blades do you have for your electric wiper motor set up. Seems like a 12" is a little too long with it hitting both the center post and outside edge. Anybody running 11" ones?

From my memory I thought 12" was standard. I have gone 1 " longer that what was on there to get a little larger clear patch, although they do just touch the outer molding and center bar.

My '48 & '49 had the 12" wipers, and they would just kiss the outside edge and be about 1/2" shy of the center post. There was enough flexibility in the wiper, the arm, etc. that the electric wiper motor didn't sound like it was getting in a bind. One way to 'shorten' the wiper arms is to bow them out a li'l bit.

I found that it depends on what wiper arm you use GTK. I think that 12" was standard but I'm running 11" on mine as it fits better.

Its three bar design and won't make good contact with the center of the windshield. Does anyone have a good anco or trico number for a non-bar (straight) wiper blade replacement? Vintage Power Wagons has some listed with the correct hook stye attachment but I think they are 9". Numbers I have include Trico 33-110 or Trico 61-110 (available at Amazon). I'm pretty sure their is also a Bosch replacement but I can't find the number. Anybody tried these? To be clear what I'm looking for is a straight flat blade (see pic below) , no "bars" (extra arms that suspend the arm from the wiper arm.)

I can't help you with the Trico number for the blade GTK, but I did find some replacement wiper rubbers along the way and they were numbered A222 on the packet. Did you try adding a slight bend in the wiper arm to increase pressure? I picked up my wiper blades (here in Oz) at a boat chandlery for just less than $10 each. It would appear that these wiper blades still have an application in boats! They had the 11" and 12" ones in stock, whereas the auto shops seemed to only stock 8" to 9" blades.

and it looks like West Marine has an 11" available for around $20 each. Tried bending the arm (and a couple spare arms) with the same result. The outward pressure from the multiple bars just doesn't allow the blade to sit across the entire width. Also as the arm sits higher away from the glass I get more chatter as it moves back and forth. I will see if I can chase down the A222 number.
