Guest jtw3749c Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I'm cleaning out my shop. I need to make room for my powder coating booth and oven. I have a 53 Dodge 241 Hemi that is apart, but most of it is there. I have never run it, but a friend that I got it from about 15 yrs ago said it had been rebuilt. I'm assuming that was rings and bearings. I was going to put it in my Pilothouse, but never did. It has the trans and bell housing, starter, generator, carb, air cleaner, etc. I can take pictures if your interested. Also, I think it is bored to 260 as it has 260 pistons in it, I think? Am going to list it it in a car magazine and on Ebay sometime in the near future, but wanted to offer it up here first. Quote
Normspeed Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I have one too. They would make a helluva set of bookends, huh. Like yours, mine is awaiting better days and the right project. Quote
rearview Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 Hmmm.... that is a long bellhousing block, correct? What are you needing to get out of it? Bob Quote
Young Ed Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I'd be interested but looks like its a couple states away. 241 is the smallest one but it shared a block with the later 260 and 270 engines. I thought 260 was the non-hemi plymouth version and 270 the next hemi. Quite possible that someone made it a 260 hemi though. These don't have that integral bellhousings like the first few years of Chrysler hemi's did. Quote
Guest jtw3749c Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I am offering it at $400.00 obo. I'm located in Northern Indiana, Bristol. Quote
