41/53dodges Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 I seem to have found a "P" head on my pile-o-parts. as I understand, this was D for dodge and P for plymouth, but the only thread I could dig up with the search simply referred to the "elusive "P" head", and didnt find anything else, seeing as one cannot simply search for a "P" head. so, is there something special about it or what? I think i CC'd it to 100cc stock, so... Quote
Frank Elder Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 It could be purposeful, playful, poetical or even pendantic.......but mostly it has become symbolic of one person on this forum and his search for the holy grail of plymouth. Or better known as, how to spend $80,000 to create a $10,000 dollar car......the "P" remains a mystery to me as I have never seen a "D", "S", or a "C" head. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Somewhere, I think I still have a head with the P on it......presumably means it came from a Plymouth engine. I also have one with a D on it........ from the Dodge motor I have out of a 50 Coronet. I suppose the letter P MIGHT make an engine exactly period correct for a P15, but not positive. However, it's not manditory in order to just have a working engine. I acually have a 50 Dodge head on a 57 Plym block in my P15......so they will even mix and match. Don't know if the above info helps with anything, but thought I'd throw it in. Quote

Niel Hoback Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Niether of the heads in my stuff have a P or a D, but the one on my car is way better. It has my initials cast in it! Can't beat that! Quote
