My first car. Had it in high school and then a few years later I got bit with the drag racing bug.

This was about 1978 or so. The car usually went mid-11's in this configuration, but I must have been playing some games with the times that day.

Got it down into the high tens with more tire and motor. I sold it after I got married the first time.... Shoulda kept the car.

My first car, was a 1948 P-15 Special Delux club cp. I took my drivers test in it using arm signals and all. drove it through hi school. 44 years later I now have one identical to the first one I owned, same color and eveything. M

My first car was a 1948 P-15s, I think that's right, I paid $37.50 cents for in 1960. It was a one owner car with 104,000 miles on it and it had a rod knock. My dad and I towed it home and called in a guy with a portable crank grinding machine and had him grind down #6 rod journal in the car. We put in new bearings and seals and I drove it everywhere. I put in 50 Pontiac taillights, and removed the door handles, and painted it with 2 quarts of Sears automotive Gray paint using my mother's Kirby vacuum cleaner, and lowered it. Loved that old car, now I have a 1949 P-15c I'm working on. Even though I'm a Chevy guy I have a real soft spot for my P-15.
