Roger the Dodger Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Went on a garage crawl last night. This was the highlight. Recently imported from the US of A. Your loss our gain. Enjoy. 323ci Spitfire Straight Eight. Quote
randroid Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Roger, That is a beautiful car and you're correct about our loss. I was able to view the whole album and came away quite favorably impressed. Thanks for sharing! -Randy Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Between what he paid for that car, import duties if any, shipping 12000 miles, he probably spent enough to buy a good sized house. So looks like the loss/gain is pretty even. Regardless, it's nice to see the car went where it is appreciated. Quote

I sure appreciate my 1948 T&C as I think most all American citizens do too if and when they see them at shows and events! I hate to see any of them leave the country:(. Quote

With a 9 car garage with turntable for cars, in the basement. Other cars in there were 1956 Chrysler Windsor Nassau/Newport, 1958 Chrysler New Yorker, 1962 & 1957 T'birds and a 1953 Buick Skylark. It hurts to see how the other half lives Roger. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 The other half probably don't enjoy the cars as much as the lower half do! Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 How can you NOT like Town & Country's? Here's a couple of pics from the '07 WPC meet in Chicago. I think there was close to 20 of them there that year. Quote

On the other hand it's nice to see money getting into the right hands for a change. If he takes the cars to shows the public at large probably gets more enjoyment out of it than the owner. It is also a heart warming to see American products are still appreciated around the world. Now if we could only come up with new cars that inspire the same desire. Quote
