55 Fargo Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 Hey all, your gonna like this:), today take old 1955 Dodge out on my snowpacked gravel driveway, and figure clutch is slippin:o, so put her back in the garage and think about it for a while. The throw out fork was sticking a bit, but workd it over, and it seems to not be sticking anymore;). But my real problem was, I was spinning my back wheels and did not notice it:rolleyes:, as I was not being too hard on the gas pedal, gotta love this. This truck is so light in the back end, it should be able to smoke the tires like crazy:eek:, did drive her for the 1st time today, just down the driveway and back, a small victory, for an old Fargo truck, that had no body, just sitting for the last 6 years... Happy Thanksgiving to all Quote
oldodge41 Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 Happy thanksgiving Fred! Another victory with the old truck. My cousin and I took the bed off an old truck when we were about 16. I believe it was a '59 Dodge and had a v8 in it. It would smoke the tires with ease and we convinced a non-gearhead friend that we had built a killer motor for it and just had it in the truck to break it in before putting it in my Satellite. He was telling everyone in town about this killer motor. LOL Quote
RobertKB Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 Glad the old truck is mobile. You are going to have fun with it. I wouldn't mind picking up an old Fargo one day and I would like the model with the lights on the fenders. I have one in mind but cannot talk the old guy into selling it. Quote
