Lens painting.

how much did this affect the translucent quality of the lens...I aksed long ago on experience with dying the plastic rear lenses and got no response of anyone having done this prior. I had given the DuPont vinyl consideration as it is absorbed into the plastic..but...never picked up a light red to try this with...I would thing for the front this painting may not be an issue but for the brake lens..questionable..as any paint including some dyes are heavy pigment base will reduce the lumens

I have seen a parts supplier here in Oz list dye for lights frequently in recently times. Would Chrysler have had dye available as a stock item?
