P-12 Tommy Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 as an added note for Tommy on the use of the 9's verse 10's the 10's are a must if you are going to run the full stainless trim rings....Well, mine must be 10 inch...I've got full trim rings.Tom Quote
JerseyHarold Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Sure, I don't need any of them. Pick one out. The only one in any of these pictures I am planning on hanging on to is the one that has the keyed lock, as I have not ran across another one of those. Joel I think that the key-lock hubcap was used to secure the side-mount spare so people wouldn't steal it. Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Just popped a hubcap off and it measures 10 inches across. Tom Quote
Young Ed Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 I've seen the locked ones on the rear mounted spares. Quote
jcmiller Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 I've got a factory photo of a '41 Plymouth and the rings are painted. Now I'm confused.Tom I've got a 1942 which doesn't look like it's had much restoration and the rings are painted. The judging guide from POC says they should not be painted though. See pg. 17 of attached guide. Judging Guide.pdf Quote
