Adjustment for non-electric fluid drive carburetors

Can someone here give me some information on how to adjust my fluid drive carberator so that when I come to a stop the second plunger will acquaint and keep the car running. Mine works but doesn't seem to work all the time. I know I can set the engine ideal with the main set screw but not that secondary plunger.

I would imagine the deal works against fuel and the leather works to dampen, or in this case slow the movement of the piston against the resistance of the linkage.

Kinda like the old air over spring screen door closer/dampers. The port is probably like a relief port allowing the slow passage of pressurized gas through the small orrifice (I just had to work that word in for some reason)

so the spring positions the piston in the extended position whe the throttle is opened, as the throttle is released the linkage contacts the piston, but the throttle return spring wants to pull it closed quickly, the piston bellows resists the quick movement by working like an accelerator pump in reverse pressurizing gas and slowing the return to fully closed throttle. There by keeping the idle up untill the fluid drive is slacked at idle so as not to drag the engine down.

But I'm just guessing.
