Robin (UK) Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 I met a guy at a car show a couple of weeks ago, who told me that he is restoring a P15 convertible for a customer. He's just sent me some pictures. As you'll see it's a right hand drive car. It was originally supplied to Africa but it's been in the UK for over 20 years. This must be a VERY rare car as I can't imagine that many P15 convertibles were built with right hand drive and export cars were generally badged as D25 Dodge. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Beautiful car. I'd love to have one myself. I like the color, too. Quote
Young Ed Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 I'd say equally rare is a convertible painted that color. Most of them were a brighter/flashier color like one of the 2 convertible only colors. Quote

Henk Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 Hi Robin, I am from the Netherlands and do have a D24 RHD also seems to be very rare, think there are only 2 left. Looking for a few parts not for compleet restoration but just to make it look better, do you perhaps know the Guy that is doing the restoration of the D15 his contact details maybe he can help me with some parts? Kind regards, Henk Covena Quote
Robin (UK) Posted October 17, 2015 Author Report Posted October 17, 2015 Hi Henk, There's a guy in England with a RHD D24 convertible and I know of a few RHD Plymouth P15s. There are also an SP15 and a D25 (both RHD) over here, but I don't know who owns those now. You can email me Robin@RockTheJoint.comWhich parts do you need? Quote
B-Watson Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Chrysler sold RHD Plymouths in all countries of the Commonwealth, except Canada and Newfoundland, along with any other country that drove on the left side of the road, except Sweden. All other countries got LHD Plymouths. Chrysler also sold Dodge Kingsway and DeSoto Diplomat models around the world, in both LHD and RHD versions. Models sold in Australia used locally built bodies but generally the all other countries either got built up models or CKD (Completely Knocked Down) in a big wooden box. The original kit car. There's a LHD Ford Econoline pick up in the background. That's a rare one. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted October 19, 2015 Author Report Posted October 19, 2015 This is the finished car, earlier this year, when Chris and I went to visit. 1 Quote
