This place holds a special place in my heart. I made a lot of auto trips up and down the eastern seabord back in the day. I saw this on ebay and couldn't resist. I was surprised to see it's almost all plastic nowadays. But, very heavy duty plastic and apparently still manufactured locally, hooray for that!

Maybe I'll hang this out when I go teardropping. It would suit my rather eclectic birdhouse decor rather well, don't you think?

My wife got one of those for me a few years ago, and we learned right away to keep it from water or rain. I took it all apart again and sprayed each piece with several coats of clear laquer, don't forget the edges. If that masonite-like material gets wet, it starts to swell up and crumble.

Remember the paper signs they tied on your bumper with lead wire while you were in there? I picked one up that says "Ruby Falls" on it.

Forget the barns. Much more interesting to be there. Wife and I visited there last summer. Stopped to have lunch with Don Coatney, his wife Lisa and BobT on the way down. At the top of Rock City across the street from the entrance you see the Cornerstone Gas Station. Of course the gardens and look out at Rock City was interesting too. Neat little gas station. Inside is a gift shop that sells all kinds of neat retro items. Inside the garage is some sort of 20's car. Could not make out exactly the make and also couldn't get a picture through the garage glass without it reflecting back at me. Also, if you need new wide whites for you car, Coker Tire is right in town.
