Storms where very bad around 5pm tonight. I work in Framingham Mass along the 90 east /west corridor. Local news was telling everyone to find immediate cover as two tornados had touched down in Springfield and Ware Mass. Was already committed to the highway so I stuck it out and got home in time to see some wicked videos on our local news station. Luckily I live north of the office and not west. Got a call from friends in Uxbridge Mass... they where telling me that mail from Springfield was raining down on their house and was all over town... Take a look at this video of a tornado touching forming in the connecticut river in Springfield this afternoon, truly the hand of god... http://youtu.be/W5plBdPBNj8

Pray that you all are OK.

Having grown up in the Joplin area and now living in the Dallas area I have gotten very complacent when the sirens go off. After having been to Joplin over the weekend I will not be ignoring them ever again.

Doesn't a day go by since the destruction in Joplin that I haven't given those folks a thought or two. By the way, thanks all for thinking of us.

Yes, thank you for your concern. I am located south of Boston so we had no tornadoes but severe thunder and lightning. When I see what some folks have gone through recently, I am stunned.

Everybody's OK here, too. Thanks

I haven't seen a storm like that since I moved away from Missouri. I sat out on the front step and watched it come in(my wife thought I was crazy--must be a midwest thing) Lightning all over the sky, dark clouds moving fast, later the heavy rain and a bit of hail. We were lucky that the kids were already asleep when the noise started around 8pm. By 9:30 it was gone.

Makes this morning look all the more beautiful!

Moose, you will like it on the South Shore. I have lived here all of my life and we moved to Cohasset in 1944 when I was 2.
