ptwothree Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I'm in the process of putting my 218 back together and I'm in need of a source for a valve guide driver.....anyone know of any tool companies selling such a thing? I ordered one from Hands on Tools 2 wks ago but they are on back order. Any help is appreciated as this project is on hold till I get this sorted... Quote

Jim Saraceno Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I used a set made for steel jacket anchors and a BFH. Quote
Desotodav Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Those BFH's sure come in handy. I've used one of them on my truck rebuild numerous times. Desotodav Quote

Jim Saraceno Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Actually, it is more accurately called a drop-in anchor. And you can get a set at Grainger... http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/RED-HEAD-Dropin-Anchor-Setting-Tool-2KTE6?BaseItem=2KTE5 Quote
ptwothree Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 Thanks Jim.....I don't do much concrete stuff so never heard of this...Looks like it ought to do the trick....Thanks!! Quote
Jim Saraceno Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Unfortunately, I don't remember the size (1/2"?, 3/8"?) but I do remember I had to buy several as the first one was bent out of shape before the job was finished. Quote
