Joe Flanagan Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 But I don't anymore. I believe it goes through the firewall and secures either the steering column or the dash. That's what I seem to recall, anyway. Does anyone recognize it? Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted May 19, 2011 Author Report Posted May 19, 2011 Yeah, I have to stop taking things apart. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 No, you do have to take things a part you just have to label them:eek: Hey Joe everything looks so good I got to get over to see you. You are doing great Quote
Young Ed Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Joe see the top edge of the firewall just to the left of the red plymouth oval. Quote
DJ194950 Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 joe, its the steer column/dash support. goes through hole in firewall above column, washer and nut are under hood. the end with beveled hole sits on lower inside edge to support/fasten the steer column support left side. remember the hastle trying to get that straight slotted bolt loose under the dash now?? the tapered headed one? i'm sure you will remember it now. going good joe. doug Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted May 20, 2011 Author Report Posted May 20, 2011 NOW I remember. Thanks very much. Rodney, looks like I've finally got some momentum going. Weather's good. I've got chairs. You're welcome any time. Maybe I should find you an old Barcalounger for your hip and all. Heck, I'D like to have an old Barcalounger in my garage for myself. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted May 20, 2011 Author Report Posted May 20, 2011 Come to think of it, I was wondering why I had two different kinds of bolts holding the steering column support to the dash. I figured one had been lost and replaced with a mismatched bolt. Quote
