woodie49 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I liked this DeSoto quite a bit. And, even though not a Mopar, how often do you see a trailer built by Pierce Arrow? I guess this was a final effort to keep the company afloat. Too bad it didn't work. This show is a lot of fun. Morro Bay is a pretty small town and they close off both the main streets for the two day show. Whether is usually great for the show. A little brisk in the AM, but really comfortable after about 10:00. They draw more than their share of muscle cars, but still a nice showing of 50's and pre-50's. This year they had a club of about 15 '55-'57 T-birds, five or so Willeys, almost all Orange and all blown (is there such a thing as a stock Willeys?), a few nice C-1 to C-2 corvettes, and , of course, tons of '55 - '57 Chevys (They never get old.) They pipe Oldies music throughout the show area (not really "oldies" to me) and they draw a big crowd. Lots of fun. Quote
Young Ed Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Like this one? owner said he did buy it with the intention of rodding but realized it was better left alone. Quote
Mark D Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I saw a Pierce Arrow pulling a matching trailer recently! Well actually it was just on display at the Nerthercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA. Highly recommend a stop for anyone that might be visting in the LA area. Free admission and the level of restoration on those cars is just incredible! Quote
