Niel Hoback Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Good glass shops have the patterns for your glass. Around $50? do you still have the broken one? If so and they don't have patterns, just take the old one and they will use it for the pattern. Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I took my window to "The Glass Doctor" and they used it as a template. It was 65.00 for a replacement. Also once in a while someone on E-bay sells a an original window off their car. Tom Quote
Flatie46 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 I need a passenger side glass for my 46 business coupe. I know a good glass guy but would like to have an original yellowed maybe a little fogged glass. I can't explane why I like the look but I do. Quote
greg g Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 glass is all flat, both sides are the same, any good auto glass shop should be able to cut you one no problem. Quote
Fluid drive Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 The material used for the door glass in your Plymouth was known as Dulite; two pieces of single strength window glass bonded to an acetate center. Dodge, Desoto, and Chrysler used Duplate which was made from double strength window glass ( Double is 1/8 in" and single is 1/16") Either will work in the glass run channels in your door. We used to cut those glasses by the dozens over N.A.G.S glass patterns. I've never used these guys but give Vintage Auto Glass (406)671-0474 a call. Oh, the exposed edges should be polished out with a cork wet sanding belt too. Fluid Drive Quote
