Bob_Koch Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Had a chance to catch Eric Nogleberg and his wife in their 1948 B1B at our local Apple Blossom parade today. Who else is running their truck in a parade? Quote

Monkey Truck Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Thanks for dropping by to visit Bob and the great pictures, it was nice to see you. Sorry I missed you too at BBQ 48D, I hope to make it next year for sure. Truck ran pretty good in the parade. It's first parade (probably ever in it's history) and we made it without incident. Wasn't sure with idling that long and moving very slow for about an hour if the motor would cut out on me, but it did fine. Lot's of working the clutch too. The first half of the parade, the street has just enough of a downhill grade that I was able to coast in neutral without too much strain on the clutch. It was a beautiful day, clear skies, temp in mid 70's. I haven't insulated the cab yet, so I think it was hotter in the cab than it was in the motor. I poured a bottle of "Water Wetter" in the radiator in the morning just for back up, and I'm sure that helped keep it cool. Eric Quote
