Reg Evans Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Weight it down in a bowl of gas and watch for bubbles. Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 I've got my carburetor disassembled, cleaned, and ready for paint. While I'm working on the paint I wanted to "test" the float as I have read should be done. How do I accomplish this? Hold it next to your ear and shake it. If you hear any liquid sloshing around the float is bad. Otherwise it should be good. Quote
Alshere59 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Hold it in needle nose and submerge in very hot water. Any bubbles and it has a leak. http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/Troubleshooting.htm Quote
