Charlie Olson Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) Greetings All, from 79 degree weather sunny Arizona. Please enjoy the write-up and additional photos, from this year's Annual Historic Heritage Square Car Show. A special thank you and recognition to Jim Benjaminson (an honorary good Norwegian boy), Membership/Secretary-Treasurer, POC, for bringing this article to our attention, and to Lanny Knutsen (a good Norwegian boy), editor of the POC Bulletin/Pastor, for insuring this article was forwarded to your correspondent, Charlie Olson (another good Norwegian boy), Director of Multi-Media, The Wood Car Company. After enjoying the article about the Old Ford Covered Wagon, please click on the "more photos" link, to enjoy additional photos of the wide variety of historical transportation, in SUNNY 79 DEGREE WEATHER IN ARIZONA. http://apps.detnews.com/apps/joyrides/index.php?id=874 At the bottom of the windshield posted entry sheet, your ever HUMBLE servant wrote "GO PACKERS". Which was good for three beers being bought by admiring Cheesehead attendees. GO PACKERS!!!!!! Okay, I realize it may be some what cruel to be bragging about the weather; so, if I could, I would invite you ALL, to come stay with me and we could watch the Green Bay Packers while relaxing in the pool. oldodge41 Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 So, how was the weather Charlie? Looks like a great time, if you like that kind of weather. LOL Low 30's and snowing hard here. Quote
RobertKB Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Thanks for posting the article but not for bragging about the weather. In my part of the world it is BC (B****y Cold) outside today, as my grandfather used to say. Great artilcle on the Ford Sheepherders truck. I clicked on more pictures and what a great bunch of good looking vehicles. Not a single rod in sight. Plywood looks great by-the-way! Quote
Charlie Olson Posted March 6, 2011 Author Report Posted March 6, 2011 This is a copy of the email I sent to Jim and Lanny, when I received the Heads Up email about the article, in the Detroit News website: Hi Lanny, Hi Jim, this "truck" "camper" is a favorite at many local shows here in the PHX area. It is a real journey down the "times past" lane to climb up inside the "Prairie Schooner" bed of this fine relic. It takes about four days to see and identify all of the different accessories attached to this rig. It was just a few weeks ago that PLYWOOD and I attended the Historic Heritage Square Annual Car Show, pictured in the article. Thanks for thinking of us. Charlie and PLYWOOD. Thanks for the great memories Quote
