claybill Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 during the winter months i usually work on my old triumph basket case motorcycles....waiting for the sun to shine and warm up the garage... anybody out there have any interest in old triumphs or parts layin' around..? bill Quote
busycoupe Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I had a '71 Triumph Tiger that I bought at auction in 2005. I did a mostly cosmetic restoration of it. Powdercoated frame, new tires and tubes, wheel bearings, repro seat, exhaust system, etc., had tank and fenders painted. It was a blast! 4 speed, right hand shift. It was great on the winding country roads near here. Unfortunately I am moving, and anticipating less space in my new garage I sold the bike last summer. Here is a pic of me with the bike at "European Bike Day" at the Larz Andersen Museum of Transportation in Brookline, MA in 2009. Dave Quote
Olddaddy Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I may be interested depending on what you have and price. I have a 66 Triumph Trophy. Quote
deathbound Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Love the old trumpets-especially pre-units. I usually take the winter time also to work on my Panhead, but with the Coupe not running right now, I don't want to be without both since our winters' aren't really that bad here in So Cal. Quote
michael.warshaw Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 ive got a 33 harley, vintage indian, and a few older bmws aswell. the old motorcycles dont quite ride like the new stuff, but its a cool feeling. Quote
