  1. 1. Coming or not???

    • 6 moths is not enough notice to get my car fixed
    • Love to come but I have time conflicts (my dog needs grooming or ??)
    • I will try to make it please keep me updated on details
    • I have put it on my calendar and will be there
    • Mom (or wife/girlfriend) won't let me (Lets see who checks this one)
    • My parole officer will not let me associate you and your ilk
    • It's too far ( hot, dark, cold, damp, costly)
    • Traveling in a group is appealing

Greg, in looking at the meet activities we should be able to have a couple of tail gate parties. Maybe Wendnesday or Thursday, a little Happy Hour and Then Friday the Full blown Salt Taters, and BBQ pork. I am planning on staying at the Host Hotel, want to schedule travel to arrive there by Wednesday leave by Sunday, not sure if I am going to visit the falls before or after. For those who have never been to big meet or experienced a long road trip, you can't fully appreciate what you are missing. I like working on my car, but I like driving it and like driving it long distances even better. This forum only has few members who get out and cover some miles, Pete, Don C, Greg, Lee, the Canadians and myself. HERE is my offer to anyone from the Midwest I will meet you anywhere you want east of the Mississippi and north of the Ohio, I will drive as fast or slow as you feel comfortable, take as many days as needed, travel back roads, front roads, dirt roads whatever

Mark, I have had PMs to and from Roadking coupe and Dan Heibert Canada and Niagra Falls area respectively, Both have expressed interest probably since your original plan called for travelling via Niagara Falls. If the was the case you would have to travel through the Syracuse area to get to VT. Big John from just west of here has also expressed an early inerest I have also heard that the Van Buskirks are considering and they would be coming from Indy so also through NY from the west, so there could be a pretty extensive mopar caraven from the west. Trying to gin up some interest from our folks from the VA/MD, Pa LI area, so if it happens a link up in the Albany area ot the two groups could travel together from there up through VT. That could get cumbersome trying to keep a group like that together. So maybe planning a route with some way points for regathering rather than trying to keep a parade together. If any of the NE guys get out on this, they will likely just head north throug VT.

take a look at Rt 20 rather than I 90 if/when coming from N Falls.

So maybe a meet up in Bellows Falls or White river Junction (used to be a neat little micro brewery CATAMONT there but don't kow if its still in business)

There are only three lodging places in the St J bury area the host and two other smaller places. Next nearest is probably 20/30 miles away.

I got a phone call from forum member Billy Austin yesterday. He expressed an interest in the Vermont trip. He lives near Dawsonville, Georgia.

A couple of possible stopping points along the way.

1901 Lincoln Hwy, North Versailles, Allegheny, PA.

The George Asche World Of Speed HQ, Actually its known as AOK Racing, is clearly a must stop for this trip. What worked for us heading to Portland was designating a route we were taking and the evenings lodging and contact phone #'s. Day one we met in Grealy Co (three cars), the next night KOA in Laramie Wy, (when we woke up the next morning three more cars had joined) etc etc until we Had 10 cars and where heading into Portland. I am flexible on my route. I like it when a plan comes together ;)
