ggdad1951 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Ok kids, I'm bored...it's cold out...I've got all the parts painted for the engine... I have the "crankcase breather", "FULL flow oil filter" and "air cleaner" decals from Roberts a while back...pretty sure the crankcase is a no brainer and as is the air filter, while not exactaly the same as was on there originally, I plan on sticking them on tonight. But I question whether the "FULL flow" decal is proper for the '51 as I don't think it's a "full flow".... Thoughts? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 You are correct. You have a bypass oil filter. I've seen several "restorations" that have that 'Full Flow' decal on their bypass filters, but it's not correct. Merle Quote
Reg Evans Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Yeah, Here's what the full flow filter looks like. Here's one type of MoPar bypass oil filter decal. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted January 6, 2011 Author Report Posted January 6, 2011 thanks for confirming for me! Quote
