I thought the original was T-bird based Barris custom roadster. This may be an original second edition movie car but nowhere near the value of the true original. Doesn't interest me at all, even if I could afford it.

I just read the auction flyer, says it's #3. Where's #1 . Wouldn't that be more original than #3

The original was built out of a GM showcar I think Firebird II. I think this is one of the ones built for the first movie.

I just googled it. Batmobile was constructed in 1965 from a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car. 3 weeks construction time. At least 3 'glass copies were made. Any of the glass copies I personally would consider more valuable than the one Mecum is selling.
