The Virgin River Runs right in my back yard and the river has about 5 or 6 feet till is spills over. About five years ago there was a flood but since then the city put in rock retaining walls so the river would stay where its supposed to be, they seem to be working. The city is putting sand bags along our back yards in case it does flood, Hopefully it doesnt  Ill try to post some picture from my backyard so you can see from my house

Headed to Arizona for Christmas. Was going to go home to N. California by way of Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion Parks next week.

Maybe we won't.

And the Arizona highway department is estimating holiday traffic delays of 90 minutes on I-10 west of Phoenix due to bridge construction. I'm considering taking I-8 through Yuma to avoid that. Talk about going the long way from the SF Bay area.

Or maybe avoid the freeway and take old US80 and Salome road from the Parker, Az area to Gila Bend. Decisions, decisions, decsions...

Glad you saw this Tod. I didn't even think of checking highway conditions in AZ until you said this.
