The rubber gromets that hold the top bows to the car were all dried and broke off so I found some close replacement in the plunbing deptment at hardware store. They were about 50 cents each.

I sewed my own headliner.I used old for pattern. Taped the old one back together were it ripped. It wasn't that hard and turned out great.

The silence is deafening.................:D

I am planning a trip to Nashville next May for the Goodguys show. I know some of you guys would rather not participate in that, but I could always meet up with some locals while I'm there. I'm about 90% positive I'm bringing the Plymouth this time. I enjoy driving my old truck on the interstate a bit more, but I'm ready to get out of my comfort zone a bit with the Plymouth as most of the bugs have been worked out of it over the last few years. I think that it is the third weekend in May. Weekend before Memorial day weekend.

Thanks to all for the help,

I have the headliner in but not locked down yet. The article was great and very helpful.

I will keep you guys posted it is getting a little cold around here to do any effective work. I need to steam out the wrinkles and then lock down the side trim. Although the temperature in the garage isn't cooperating.

This is as far as I got:

Thanks for the update. Once you get the wrinkles out you'll be good to go. I know it's hard to work in chilly temps.

Tommy, you are talking about the headliner right?

Well, Chet, at least it's now in the general place it needs to be.

I'd call that some progress. Working in a cold garage is not my idea

of fun either.

No matter what your thinking is on this topic, wrinkle free is the way to go.

Bob,

I have turned my attention to mechanical things. I dropped some small parts off with the plater and will be disassembling my door handles for plating. I need to install the windshield wipers, vent hardware, repaired radio, glove box and a million other details. I can’t wait to get the radio in so I can listen to the three AM stations I get out here in rural Delaware, besides the tubs will help warm the car. Oh, ya I need to restore the cabin heater. I think I have plenty to keep me busy.
