Well, now the coupe is back on the road and I can finally get a good nights sleep. The past three hours I have been working on the interior light. It gets dark sooner now and that light is very important. I tried to turn it on and nothing. I pride myself with having everything working in my old Plymouth so I took it out and cleaned it, wire brushed it and to my amazement it came on. I wonder how many of you have lights working in your car? dash, interior, glove box. I know we are working with 6volt here however that's no reason to be in the dark;)

Rodney, I had mine out after dark tonight for a short ride, no dash lights, but all the other lights and headlights worked fine, guess I have some detective work once I park the old girl for the winter. But to be honest, tonight is the first time in a number of years that I have ventured out after dark with her

I spent several hours working on the interior light, lense, wiring, and bezel. The bezel is brass with very little chrome left, so with a little clear on it, it looks very good. The light gets very warm with the big bulb if left on very long. I put some aluminum foil behind the light bulb. With the new dark green headliner, the brass bezel and light looks very good...:)..

It's nice to have a dome light working in the car. My dash lights, dome and glovebox light all work. The dome light is operated by the pillar switch. I also have a set of bulbs under the dash that go on with the turn of a switch.

My dash lights work on my D-19 but do not illuminate the gauges. I see the light under the dash but not in the gauges. The bulbs are in place. Thanks for reminding me, I need to look at that one of these days............Tim

Rodney,

I've got the original wires (for most of) and of course 6V positive ground system.

Everything but dome light works - I guess I am fortunate as Gander Gladstone.

The only thing I have had to repair were the head light grounding (also renewed the wiring and bulbs) and the horns (contacts were pretty dirty & corroded).

Here in Finland the yearly inspection is very strict on lights and instruments.

No malfunctions allowed.

Well, the dome light then... A couple of years back the dodge almost caught fire when I switched the dome light on. Turned out the wire inside back door pillar had lost insulation. I disconnected the entire system and decided to run new wires all over when I'll have spare time for that- haven't had yet...

OT:

Rodney..if you were good and treated eveyone right..there would be no need for lights at night...well except for maybe the vampires, zombies, ex-wives and the occasional wierwolf

- Tim I see you belive in the law of karma: Bad things only due to bad people

- my experience in not in line with that philosophy

- thus I keep lights on even if I've been good

- when I'm being bad I run without lights, works for me...:D
