Don Coatney Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Raisen pie is one of my favorites. Glad you are treating both of your wives to some northern culinnary treats. I am jailed in a hotel in New Jersey. Freezing rain/sleet has the roads impassable so I have not left my tiny room all day. I treated my self to a pair of lousy microwavable french bread pizzas for chow tonight. Called Lisa and she is eating prime rib in celebration of passing her real estate test today. She also told me that step daughter #1 is knocked up again. At 39 years old this will be her 4th. I plan on heading south to Medford, NJ in the morning to drop off 4 bags full of golf clubs to my cousin. Hope the weather allows me to make the trip. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 sounds like yucky weather for sure...the pies are made..nice golden brown crust and excellent raisen filler..already had a slice with some good cold milk..we played some Cribbage while they baked. Tell Lisa congrats for us... Quote

Tell Lisa congrats for us... I struck out this morning on my middle New Jersey quest only to turn around and retreat to the hotel jail. The roads were terrible. As much as I would have liked to visit with my long lost cousin I felt the journey was too risky. Twenty years ago I would have continued, casting my fate to the wind. With age I have learned that I am no longer invincible. On the bright side my cousin has a summerhouse in Maryland and a big boat that sleeps 6. Most likely I will be able to connect with him sometime in the next couple of years. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Don..live to fight another day...my cousins arrived..it has been a hoot..they cannot stay near as long as I would kike..one could not make it due to a confilicting work schedule..called in to support a full prodcution after half day scheduled..and yes with age it seems you appreciate more of the little things going on around you...
