Tom,how did the 12 year old enjoy the ride in the old car?

IMHO it is impossible to exaggerate the importance of taking young people for a ride in our old cars. The survival of the hobby relies on this.

He loves it! He was really into the Xbox 360 and I kinda weened him off it by getting him to help me on the Plymouth here and there. It gives him a sense of acomplishment.:)

Twenty one days! I am impressed. You must be a top line mechanic. To me the colors aren't that distracting. Nice, nice car. When I had my engine out and cleaned, I put five layers of clear coat on it to water proof it. It has the old cast iron look with a bit of a porceloin finish.

Thanks for the nice words, pflaming!! Here's a few more pics after I put the outside grill moldings on. What a nightmare! I had a heck of a time making something that would fit. It took about 4 hours of eyeballin' and tin snippin' but I managed. I want to thank everyone that helped me on this. I'm sure there'll be more soon.

I had a bunch of trim clips I bought at the parts store. Of course, none of them were a good fit. I had to make them fit. Those outside moldings came from the factory with the clips built in. I don't know why they did that. They made clips for all the other moldings. I'm sure Tim or Jim will chime in on this one.

Tom,

Looks great. Glad that the manifolds worked. Certainly better than just sitting in my garage.

I had to fabricate my own fasteners for the trim on my '41.

Been having fun driving mine now that it is back on the road after the second engine re-build. Seems to be running better the second time around -"knock wood" (fortunately that is easy enough to do in my woodie).

Thanks again Jim! The exhaust is pretty quiet now. I've been driving mine all over around here. So far I'm not leaving puddles all over the place.:D Glad to see you're enjoying the woodie again.
