dmulhall Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 what kind of luck have you guys had in mounting a 218 or 230 to an engine stand...I was going to buy one of the heavy duty stands 2000lb..but mounting looks like it could be interesting...I know it can be done, but others have been through the trail and error process before me, I'm sure....?? Thanks in advance Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Pictured is how I did it. But I never used the stand for anything but garage art. The working height was very uncomfortable for me. I rebuilt my engine on a work bench and flopped it over by the armstrong method as required. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 mine pretty much worked out nice on my buddies' stand with a few washers as spacers. His "spider" comes off the stand frame so easy to play with and then slap inthe stand. Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 in that picture Don.Hank I am a pro. I just have not yet figgured out what kind of pro I am. This might help. Quote
Dave72dt Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Nothing like having someone stand beside you. I understand completely. Quote
