Just somebody that's behind the times. Probably doesn't know the difference. Words used to garner more hits when using the search feature. I think "rat rods" are just a fad anyways and some other style will take it's place if it hasn't already, and become the new "build style".

Rat Rod Rule #1: Stick shift has to be a minimum of 36" long.

Rat Rod Rule #2: Presence of Skull is mandatory, not an option.

There are plenty of the around here, I guess that's what they wanted to be when they grew up?

personally I own a "rat rod" and believe the stigma and the stereotypes are outrageous. In my opinion the roots of rat rods were poor boy hot rods and just built with what you have handy. I'm not into just bolting on random junk onto my car but I do like low budget
