BobT-47P15 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) I saw that yesterday.......family heirloom truck stolen. The news now is-- recovered. "How about this for some good news?! I just got a call from the Blake guys and the police have not only recovered the vehicle but have arrested 6 people." Edited August 13, 2010 by BobT-47P15 Quote
Tony_Urwin Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 I went to the link and read some of the posts. ON the first page there were 3 different forum members whose entire post was: BTTT My understanding is that this means Back to the Top. Can someone explain this to me- what it is used for, and why would they all post this message? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 When people do that, Tony, they are simply trying to keep a particular post at the top of the list or main page. On the HAMB, in particular, there are so many posts that it doesn't take long for a post to disappear from the first page and may wind up 2 to 5 pages back pretty quickly. The old saying seems to apply -- out of sight, out of mind. In this case, they were trying to help by reminding members about the stolen vehicle. Which, for once, had a reasonably happy ending. Hope this helps. Quote

greg g Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 This forum is basicaly the same deal, each reply moves the thread to the first position in the que. So to keep a post hot, after they have read it, they will BTT it. Quote
