I installed this canister filter to replace the original sealed filter. What would the oil pressure gauge read if this type of filter were to be clogged? Would it bypass the clogged filter and read normal? Just trying to figure out my oil pressure issue.

The oil pressure gauge is fed from the same oil galley but independet from the filter feed. It will register pressure no matter what the filter is doing. What are you symptoms, no OP, too loo, too high??? When you run the car does the filter get hot?

What was your oil pressure befor making the changes you did?

I did the upgrade over a year ago. The filter does get hot so I guess it is getting oil through it. You can read these two posts to see my symptoms. I hijacked the second post.
