aero3113 Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 I installed this canister filter to replace the original sealed filter. What would the oil pressure gauge read if this type of filter were to be clogged? Would it bypass the clogged filter and read normal? Just trying to figure out my oil pressure issue. Quote

Usually see the intake type. How does the oil cap to I'm not sure pvc work? Seems to be too many variables? Quote
aero3113 Posted June 26, 2010 Author Report Posted June 26, 2010 The line from the filler cap goes to the air filter. Quote
Frank Elder Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Looks like that works, most of the pictures I see go to the intake.Using the draft tube.......good stuff! Quote
greg g Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 The oil pressure gauge is fed from the same oil galley but independet from the filter feed. It will register pressure no matter what the filter is doing. What are you symptoms, no OP, too loo, too high??? When you run the car does the filter get hot? What was your oil pressure befor making the changes you did? Quote

The filter does get hot so I guess it is getting oil through it. You can read these two posts to see my symptoms.
