I walked into the work room of a thrift shop where I volunteer. On the work bench were five (5) 16" luxury rings, no scratches and no dents. I asked what's the story on these, "just arrived" was reply, "interested"? They have a policy for volunteers " if you see something you can use, it's yours". I took them home. These are too nice to be free, I will make a nice donation. They sure look nice on the truck. :) Now I have to find a spare wheel mount for the side of my bed, so I can use all five.

Took these for Frankie, Hank, and others. Shows how the look changes on a vehical. Taste is different for each and all. To me, I like the rings, was very lucky to find them. Note the picture of the set. These have clips all the way around, some I've seen only have 5 or so clips.

Nice to have a running engine so I can back out and drive back in!!! Enjoy!

what an unbelievable find. Maybe they were originally from your truck and the bad cousin of the previous owners son stole them and hocked them at the local pawn shop so he could buy a bottle of gin.

Well they sat in the pawn shop for over fourty years till the owner finally died. Although his older son was disowned at an early age (the same one who used to hang out with the bad cousin) he managed to become a succsessful oilman in Texas.

Because his younger brother (slated to be the sole aire of the pawnshop fortune) died in a boating accident, the oil magnate older son didn't care about inheriting the contents of the pawn shop and so decided to give them to goodwill, which is where you found them.

So as you can see, the moral of the story is what goes around your wheels comes around your wheels. As you can also see, although I have become a "Guru", I still have waay too much time on my hands.

Hank :)

NO GIN! The thrift shop is a Mennonite one!:D "Hadachol" was the drink!!!:)

These are my favorite 'before / after' pictures. But what has happened under the hood is what I'm most thrilled about. Yep, that is the same truck!

(Laugh out Loud!)

Absolutely!

From a child, a bad liar (because it's wrong and just not in me) but an excellent BS Artist where there no harm and it's just plain fun!

Regards to You and the Desert,

Hank :)
