herhotrod Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 What size tires are you using? I'm looking to see what different heights, widths and wheel sizes look like on the old Plymouths. Any pics would be a great help. Thanks guys. Quote
herhotrod Posted June 12, 2010 Author Report Posted June 12, 2010 That's about what i was thinking, maybe a 215/75 -15. The height looks good. The car came with four different wheels and tires, 14's, 15's, 195's, 205's, 225's....It's hard to decide what looks best when they're so different and the car doesn't sit level. Quote

desoto1939 Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 I forgot to post the pictures of the original tires. These are on a 39 Desoto 6.00 x 16 Rich Hartung Desoto1939@aol.com Quote
james curl Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Beware, any thing wider than P205-75-15 will be hard to get into and out of the spare tire well because the center hold down bracket is too close to the floor too allow a wider tire to go between the bracket and the floor. Also you will have to ues a jack under the frame in the rear to allow the tire to drop down enough to get it between the top opening in the fender and the brake drum. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 6.70 x 15 bias ply. Approx 2 3/4" whitewall. Firestone reproduction from Coker Tire. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 205/70x15 in the front and 225/75x15 in the back. Quote
