Plymouthy Adams Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Where not to work... MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A Waffle House employee has survived without serious injury after three teens took off without paying and he clung to the hood of their car. The incident occurred in Murfreesboro and Andrew Brian McKnight said he wasn't trying to be a hero, but climbed onto the hood when the driver tried to run over him in his escape. The Daily News Journal reported that during the five-minute ordeal on Sunday the car reached speeds up to 60 miles per hour. McKnight managed to fish his cell phone from his pocket and call 911. The driver stopped shortly before police arrived. Police charged an 18-year-old with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Two minors who were in the car were not charged. ___ Information from: The Daily News Journal, http://www.dnj.com Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 A bouncer at the Waffle House? I think Don could find better things to do. Some friends and I once pulled a similar stunt at a breakfast joint in Massachusetts. We didn't take anybody for a ride on our hood, though. We used to call it "Chew and Screw." Of course, if you did it in a finer establishment, it was called, "Dine and Dash." Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 A retirement job with benefits would be good. But this is not the kind of benefits I am looking for:eek: Quote
JoelOkie Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Felt like getting in and driving the car through the front of a few eating establisments, but had never considered driving off with one of the employees. Joel Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) Don, you could load up the trunk of the racing Plymouth with some moonshine, like this guy. Guess the only "benefits" from this job would be a few free sips of the white lightning now and then. You might, then, need to take up playing the banjo as well...... Joe Flanagan Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 That guy's hat looks like it's made out of sheet metal. I'll bet it comes in handy during an electrical storm. Quote
