What makes the best chassis replacement for 53 pickup ?

I'm looking for a rolling chassis (good motor, brakes, frame, etc...) to place under the body of my 53 Dodge pickup. It has a 116 in. wheelbase and I'd like to know what others have used and any feedback regarding the project.

Hey guys, what are your trucks measuring out at and where are you taking them from? Mine measured from wheel center to center measures 107". Is this the same as some of yours?

They may have changed some in '54. The B series 1/2 ton trucks measure 108" wheel base.

I just got my 53, have taken no measurements but want to know if it might go onto a 79 frame that I already have(full truck)
