Joe Flanagan Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 When I disassembled my car, I noticed that in some places (like where the front fenders bolted to the car) there were little pieces of what looked like tar paper. There was a hole in them where the bolt went through and it seemed they were meant to act as anti-squeak devices. I'm assuming I can use a similar material but I wanted to know if anyone has done this and if so, what they used. I would think thin rubber might be a good substitute. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I used friction tape. It stays where you put it until you tighten the bolts. Quote
greg g Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Body shop supply stores sell anti squeek strips in various widths in rolls. mine was stuck on with some sort of adhesive but between the mounting holes. Quote
