The fastest i drive my 48 dodge 3 on the tree with fluid drive is about 50 and that pushing it. The car has 14's with 175/70. I'd like to get stock wheels with cross bar hubcaps but thats a different topic. Rear end is rebuilt to stock specs, engine only has 1000 miles on it. At 40 to 50 the car sounds a little stressed but it handles it very well even on hills. This is my first car this old so im probrably just being paranoid about pushing her harder. Considering how long it took me to do the frame off resto on it.

The car looks great Ramon. These cars sound busy at 50 mph, it could probably handl;e 55 to 60 mph. What gear ratio, do you have in the differential. I notice you have 14 inch tires, 15s would bring down the RPMs too.......

well these cars are about 60+ years old and look how far weve come in 50 years from now how much better will they be? i dont see how it an get any better? i mean beside having someone else drive the car by pc or something? my bmw does 0-60 in a blink of any eye, can they get faster and better?

Yes Michel, it can get better or faster if you want call. A cheaper 36000 pond car beating a million pond car on a race track with a tammed race driver behind the wheel. The caterham is faster then a 1,000,000+ pond Bugatti Veyron with 1001 HP:eek: and the 246000 pond veritas RS3 with a BMW M3-resies V8 engine powered up from 420 to 473 HP. As I'm not a fan of very fast cars big uncool cars, I love our old ones but just want to show this. It can get faster with less in a road legal car. But what's the point if you can only drive up to the speed limit....

Oh, there is more to go fast then a fast car, this next video shows my family car, I have the 5 seat version of this, trying to beat the fastest time of a jaguar on a race track.

Ramon,

I too love your woodgraining. You are welcome to visit me any time and practice on my P15 four door. :D I've got a guest room equipped with cable TV, and a stocked minifridge in the garage.
