Damaged vent tube in a Carter BB downdraft carburator. Anybody know where I can buy another? Or is someone willing to pull theirs and post length and diameter so I can try to fabricate one? Vent tube is located behind a soft cap under fuel bowl. If you are thinking of pulling it, caution, a special tool is required for removal/installation.

We need to know the model number of the Carb. The model number is stamped on the airhorn flange number like E6NI.

This then helps every look at their parts books to determine the approriate part number for your carb. Also need to know the model year and make of car.

I can supply you with the appropriate part number for the Vent tube if the range of car is between 1938 to 1949 for DPCD cars.

Yes some vent tube screw into the car and others are a press fit and there is a specila carter carb tool for removing and inserting this very delicate parts.
