Weather stripping?? Where to get?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

As I begin my 1950 1 ton project I'm a little worried about finding all the weather stripping I need for around pretty much every piece of glass on the truck and even a fender piece. Anyone have a source for this, and also the stuff that goes between fenders and panels to fill the gaps?

Thanks a bunch!

I believe Roberts and Steele both carry glass seals and weatherstripping. Some people are using a prduct from dennis Carpenter for the filler pieces at the top of the fenders. He also carries fender welting and welting for hood panels. Glass ribbon sealer has been used for that gummy stuff between fenders and front panel also.

Still a little new to the site and some of the suppliers or links...where do I find Roberts or Steele? I see the dennis carpenter site, but anyone know what to look at for those top fender pieces? Mine are pooched, and would like to do this semi-right ;)

Roberts Motor Parts http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/index.html

Steele Rubber https://secure.steelerubber.com/homeframes.html

I used mostly Steele products on my truck and I'm happy with the quality.

You can also check the "Links Directory" in the top header. There are several links listed for various sources.
